Ajmal ‘AJ’ Faizy came to England alone as a refugee at the age of 14, fleeing persecution and torture in Afghanistan, including the murder of his father. With the help of his adoptive family and the local community in Blackburn, AJ has since rebuilt his life to become a rising star in British boxing, while still fighting for his right to stay in the UK, facing deportation at any moment.

The film tells his story as he prepares for the biggest match of his life - the WBC Youth Intercontinental Title at London's historic York Hall. This bout is AJ’s chance to secure both his career and his future in the country, with a court appeal by the Home Office looming over him, but a boxer ranked 8th in the country stands in his way.
