IRIS LEBRUN

Self-shooting PD / Editor

Iris is a self-shooting PD with a background in TV journalism, having worked with national news channels and press agencies in France and the US.

She built on this experience through projects with several international broadcasters, developing her own approach to intimate and observational documentary making. Her films, which have won several awards, offer a probing perspective on social justice issues and under-reported stories from around the world. She has organised and carried out shoots in South Africa, Cyprus, France and the US, amongst others, gaining sensitive access and working closely with NGOs and government entities.

Iris currently specialises in working with ethnic minorities and the Muslim community in the UK. Alongside her projects, she is also a Teaching Fellow at the Royal Holloway University of London, leading workshops for MA students in Documentary by Practice.
